Better boats and services
The boat program encouraged companies in the industry to develop their businesses and apply the best available expertise. As a result of the program, consumers will be offered better boats and services. The boat program utilized the expertise and cooperation of companies, subcontractors, research institutes and universities in the field. VTT co-ordinated the program with the Finnish Boat Federation, Finnboat.
The program funded 44 business projects and 31 research projects. The total funding for the program was EUR 22.2 million, of which Tekes accounted for 11.9 million and the rest for the own contributions of companies and research bodies.
